Brazilian football legend Pele passed away. Inna-Lillahi Oinna-Ilahi Rajyan. He was 82 at the time of his death. The king of football passed away at the age of 82. He breathed his last at the Albert Einstein Hospital in Sao Paulo on Thursday after a long battle with cancer. Kelly Nascimento, daughter of Brazil legend Pele, confirmed the death in a post on Instagram. At first we all thought it might be a rumour. Pele had been battling the deadly disease for a long time. He was admitted to the hospital last November after chemotherapy did not work. But the situation keeps getting worse. So since then he was under treatment at the Albert Einstein Hospital in Brazil. Pele, the world’s only footballer to win three World Cups, left the world under treatment.
Pele was born on October 23, 1940. Father’s given name is Edson Arantes Di Nascimento. But he became world famous as Pele. He is the “greatest” footballer of the 20th century as judged by the “FIFA” magazine readers and the jury board. However, the general football fans on the internet voted in favor of Diego Maradona.
